Pear Lake in Sequoia National Park

Last month my girlfriend and I had a quickie backpacking trip in the mountains.   I needed a fix.  I wanted alpine mountains and sweeping vistas.  After researching I settled on the Lakes Trail with camping at Pear Lake at 9600 ft. We picked up our permit and headed out to the trailhead. It's a hard hike and my woman was sick with a cold.  The vistas were amazing and the campsite was nestled in between granite boulders with a lake view.  The Milky Way vibrated above our heads at night.

Endless texture everywhere.  Inspiration for my next body of work.
